ABOUT ME
Dawn received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University. She was awarded her Master's degree in Business Administration and Human Resources from the University of Phoenix.
Dawn has worked within the governmental sector for over 19 years. In conjunction with the governmental sector, she has also worked with non-profit providers to help them build relationship and organizations within the community.
Dawn is an Elected Official and active board member with a number of community organizations. Dawn was elected on November 6, 2018, as Soil and Water Conservation Commissioner for District 4. She currently serves as the President for the Orange County Democratic Black Caucus, She is a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), where she serves as a Member-at-Large, and she is the Chair of the Environmental Justice Committee. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Psi Theta Omega Chapter, where she serves as Co-Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee. She is the former Treasurer for the Orange County Democratic Executive Committee and former Secretary for the National Congress of the Black Women.
Dawn serves her community with great humility and passion. She feels it is her moral obligation to give back to the community. Therefore, she has dedicated her life to servitude and community activism.
